Internship Requirement
- A practical internship experience is a required component of master's degree programs
- Students must complete CAPS 623: Virtual Internship, a credit-bearing, graded course
- Students must complete a part-time internship during their final semester through hosting companies arranged by the University's designated partner
- Externships or independent work experiences secured outside this structure will not be accepted as a substitute for CAPS 623
CPT Authorization Requirements
- Students must secure employment directly related to their program of study before CPT can be authorized
- Must be enrolled in a full course of study
- Must be in lawful full-time F-1 status for at least one academic year (two full semesters)
- Must be in good academic standing with the university
- CPT must be an integral part of the program of study and related to a specific academic course
- English Language Learning students (Mentora Students) are not eligible for CPT
- Must obtain DSO's endorsement on the Form I-20 before beginning CPT
- Minimum GPA: 2.0 | Max Transferable Credits: 9
